ROOKIES: Boys & Girls Coed: Kindergarten & 1st grade The "Rookies" Basketball program is a coed division of the YBL for Kindergarten boys and girls in the East Division and 1st grade boys and girls in the West Division. Both practices and games are held on Sundays, with the first two weeks, being practices only. Teams consist of a 10 player roster, coached by volunteer parents. Depending on the enrollment of boys to girls, the rosters should represent a balance of the boy-girl ratio. Uniforms are red/white reversible's and are purchased on the first day of the season. Basketball fundamentals and concepts are progressive as players move up into the Winners and Champions divisions.

Uniforms are red/white reversible's and are purchased on the first day of the season. The Champions Division is our highest level in the YBL and the basketball fundamentals are taught in accordance to a semi-competitive level.
