TENNIS CLINICS: 5-9 years

Experienced instructors will teach basic fundamentals of tennis.  Lessons will include the utilization of modified equipment and creative methods of individual training for an optimum-learning environment, meeting each child’s skill level needs.  Clinics are held in the Hubbard Gymnasium throughout the year, with the exception of our Spring 2 session which classes are held on outdoor courts.

During Spring II session, children will have an opportunity to learn tennis outdoors.  Clinics are separated into 3 age groups; 5-6 years, 6-7 years, and 8-9 years old.  We have included 6 year olds in two clinics because of two reasons; high demand in that age group and developmental level.  Children will learn skill development and then apply those skills by participating in game play.  On bad weather days, make-up classes will be scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays in the Hubbard Gymnasium at the Summit YMCA.
